Measure your right-click speed and confirm the right button fires cleanly. Right-click the pad as fast as you can.
The right button gets far fewer presses than the left, so faults often go unnoticed. Clicking quickly here surfaces two things at once: how fast you can right-click, and whether every press is actually registering.
A right button that skips presses or counts extras is usually a switch issue. Pair this with the double-click test to rule out chatter on the right button specifically.
It counts how many times you press the right mouse button in a fixed window and reports your right-click CPS. It also doubles as a quick check that your right button registers reliably, with no missed or extra clicks.
The test suppresses the browser's context menu inside the pad so it doesn't interrupt your clicking. Right-clicks are still counted normally — the menu is just held back while you test.
Inconsistent counts here can point to a worn or faulty right switch. Confirm it with the double-click test (for chatter) and the button test (for dead or sticky buttons).
